The four of us spent the weekend in Amsterdam. And for some reason, despite all of the great things to photograph, we didn’t take out the camera much. Go figure.
Geez, what a great life you lead! We went there, let's see, when you were maybe a toddler. :<) We spent a week, and really loved it. The thing that struck us then was that people didn't close their curtains at night. We read this was because they had to be closed during the war, and the residents were so happy they could be open again.
This is actually the kitchen of the inexpensive rental we had for two nights in Amsterdam. My friends' place in the The Hague does not have this kind of view. The rental had two bedrooms and this living, dining, kitchen room on three floors connected by unbelievably steep stairs.
god i love Holland!

It is very cool isn't it? I am glad we have friends there now so we have even more reason to go.

Nan: The lack of curtains makes for very ineresting evening walks that is for sure.
