Although tulip season is over already here in DC, this seemed like an appropriate painting for Mother’s Day.

Love this! Tulips are my favorite flowers (and actually have a few vases full scattered throughout the house at the moment). Like Anna, this was not a Van Gogh that I was familiar with, and don't remember seeing in in the National Gallery when I was there last spring (wonder if it was loaned out?).
