Dogs In Motion

If you don’t like looking at endless pictures of other people’s dogs, you may want to scroll on down to something more bookish.

If, on the other hand, you can’t get enough of canine cuteness, look no further. We took the camera along to the dog park yesterday and Lucy had a ball.

Saying hello.

Gettin’ it goin’

Full flight

Home stretch

Coming in for a landing

Contemplating whether or not to say hello to this friend

Adorable! Who wouldn't want to look at pictures of Lucy frolicking? And you did a great job capturing her flights, as our dogs never shop as anything more than blurs when we bring our camera to the dog park!

Fabulous! And tell us, was she a heap of canine exhaustedness that evening? Nothing better for a dog's mental health than a good run! Good Dog Daddy!! And great photos, by the way.

The fact that you travel from your new house down to Dupont to go to this dog park attests to its greatness.

Fabulous shots, Thomas! Lucy is such a doll and so happy.

Deacon has no fondness for the dog park. His working dog mentality is really strong so he rarely enjoys the company of other dogs despite our efforts. He is happiest when he has a job which means we play a lot of hide-and-seek!

Molly: She certainly does have a lot of energy.

Stacy: It is hard not to smile when you look at these.

Steph: We have a speed shutter on the camera, otherwise Lucy would be a blur as well.

Karen: They are her calling card that is for sure.

Margaret: She definitely gets the other dogs moving.

Stu: Thanks, she is tons of fun.

Barbara: It is the best way to tire her out. We could walk her for hours and hours and it isn't as effective as an hour at the dog park.

Stefan: I would agree, I am just glad I don't live adjacent to it. There are always so many dogs there the barking might get a little tiresome.

    Mystica: Glad you liked them.

Darlene: Being part Corgi Lucy has some herding tendencies but nothing like a Border Collie. I just love BCs. Both of John's brothers have them.

Feel free to post these kinds of photos frequently. I just loved them. I miss our Jess who died over a year ago. She used to adore the dog park and meeting all her friends. She was a bit embarrassing though – she would never shut up….a bit like me really :)

    Thomas,
I love canine cuteness & I love Lucy! (Sorry – I couldn't resist!) You might be interested in the video embedded in the post at the top of my blog. It brought tears to my eyes, & apparently had the same effect on others who have seen it – It's about the Vicktory Dogs. (I think you'll like Philip Pullman's diatribe too.)
    Best, Roberta
