Oh, I love this! How organised! And how far you've got! I am strugging to get my first chunk completed in time for the next 'meeting'!

    Wow! You're doing great!

I read War and Peace a few years ago. After completing the mammoth book, I realized I READ THE WRONG TRANSLATION! Sheesh…..

Now itI have the Pevear and Volokhonsky edition on my shelf so I can re-read the huge thing one day.

I can't wait to hear your final thoughts once you are finished. This one has always sort of mocked me from my shelves and I've always been a bit too frightened to take it on…yet!

Juxtabook: Considering it took me almost a year to really get moving on W&P, I can understand your struggle.

Amanda: Thankfully my OCD does not translate (ha!) to which translation I use. I bought this edition solely for the beautiful cover. I think it reads quite well, and easily but I have no basis for determining whether or not it is a good translation. And, I will never read it again.

Kathleen: I know what you mean. It will be nice to join the echeolon of folks who have actually read War and Peace.
