My empathy Thomas. I'm desperately hanging in there for August and our fortnight away for our wedding. Have already started putting books aside for when I'll have time to appreciate them.

C.J. and I spent a week on an island in Maine a few years ago, with no T.V. just lots of books. One of the best vacations we ever took. You're going to love it.

Just what you need I suspect. Maine is a personal favorite of mine. I hope you plan on unplugging too. The stress this year for many has been ridiculous. Hang in there!

That sounds like my idea of a dream vacation — no sand, not too hot, just relaxing water views and lots of books. I'm envious!

You're going to have a fantastic time! Reminds me a lot of our place on our Big Lake.
Islands are special…islands in Maine are super-special.

July will be here before you know it. Maine is one of my favorite places – I just know you're going to love it! Will you share your reading list before you leave?

    Oh wow, that looks fantastic!

I adore Maine and that house on the lake is quintessential Maine.

It's a wonderful break to look forward too.

Rachel: I hope you make it up to Maine.

Nadia: I am trying not to count.

Ti: The best part is we are driving so I can take as many books as I like.

Verity: And the stress of the wedding will really require a holiday.

Coffee: Where are you going for your holiday vacation?

CB: Good to know. Did Dakota go with you?

Frances: I think I would like to keep blogging during those two weeks, but I think I need to limit my time online, otherwise it will just feel like being at home.

Jessica: You have other fantastic cottages in the UK. One of my favorite weekends was spent in a little, cold cottage in Shropshire. Of course I don't mind being quoted.

Karen: Apparently there is sand at low tide. But I won't let that bother me.

    Susan: Can't wait.

Stu: Relaxing is what I am hoping for.

Darlene: We are wondering how Lucy will like the water. We have yet to take her anywhere other than a stream in Rock Creek Park.

Margaret: And islands in Maine now put me in mind of The Magnificent Spinster.

JoAnn: You know I love to make lists, but then I am terrible at following them. But I am sure I will make one or two before we go.

    Miranda: We all deserve it.

    Mystica: I hope so.

    Hayley: It does.

Amy: We moved our dates so we could get this house because it is so quintessential Maine. Many rentals are quintessential ugly.

Danielle: If only it was all summer.

I may be biased, as it's where I grew up, but Maine is the best place in the world. Your trip sounds like the perfect vacation.
