Since we picked up our brand new shelter dog today I had to make today’s Sunday Painting one with a little canine flair.

And not to be outdone by Goya, here is our “new” dog. Her full name is Happy-Go-Lucy, but we call her Lucy for short.

We got her at the Washington Animal Rescue League.
She was absolutely perfect in the car. She seems to be completely toilet trained. She told us when she wanted to go out. She walked very well on the leash. Gets along with kids and other dogs. We may have found the perfect dog for us.

Lucy is precious. I love the motion shots of her checking everything out. My Maddie (a Yorkie) is the best company, hands down. I hope your new little family has a great first night together. Happy Halloween!

Congratulations on the new family member Thomas. Happy-go-Lucy aka Lucy is very cute and looks in every way like a lovely dog. She has such a bright intelligent face and she certainly looks like she is smiling. She knows when she has found the right home. Our dog is also a rescue dog and we love him to bits as he is loyal and loving and smart. Will Lucy have her own blog?
