I feel like I was at that beach once as a kid. The giant rock looks very familiar.

Your photos are all lovely. This sounds like a great vacation.

This looks marvellous. Reminds me a lot of Trinidad especially the top few photos.

These are seriously tugging at my heartstrings… I lived in Oregon for about 5 years and that part of the coast is just magical.

Mary: Hopefully you will get their well before that.

Anna: Is it possible that you were there as a kid.

Hannah: I am guessing the temperatures were nothing like Trinidad.

Marieke: I can understand that. The smell of the clean, cool, air certainly embedded itself in my psyche.

Whispering Gums: And I don't even show all the inland beauty like Mt. Hood and wine country and all the other amazing natural areas in the state.

Claire: It is worth the trip.

Margaret: He did manage to capture all the color that is for sure.

Georgia: It certainly is a great place to read.

Bibliophile by the Sea: The temps were indeed cool. Highs in the mid-60s mainly. That is why we chose the location.

AD: I enjoyed all your CA coast photos as well. I love that area around Big Sur and Hearst Castle.

All the pictures are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your vacation with us — Oregon has just moved WAY up on my places to visit next summer. Honestly, it was the temperature report that appealed to me most — that and Powell's, of course. :)

Gorgeous photos. I love the Oregon coast. There's a great golf course (well really several courses at one resort) called Bandon Dunes that is incredible (if you golf) up that way.

I meant to comment on this the moment I saw it pop up on my feed reader but haven't had a chance. You just had my dream vacation! I want to live in Oregon and looking at your photos just confirms it. It's so beautiful. NE is just too extreme in more ways than one. Someday! It looks like you had a lovely time.

Great pictures! Manzanita is one of my very favorite beaches. You've reminded me why.
