I love your granite! Just a tip – I put wax paper down when I make scones, and flour the wax paper. Make the scones, etc. then just scoop it all up and throw it away. Makes very easy cleanup!
Rhapsody: I actually use a metal dough scraper/cutter thingy to scrape the junk on the counter right into the sink. Works like a charm for clean-up.
Mrs. B: You were closer to right the first time, it was just before noon when we had our tea. I guess that makes it Elevenses. Didn't eat Christmas dinner until 6:00. The scones were the only thing we had all day until the turkey at 6:00.
I looked through that volume of Christmas Stories in Waterstone's the other day. There's a Willa Cather story in there I haven't read. I'd be interested to know what you think. Happy new year by the way!
